INGREDIENTS
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup García de la Cruz Garlic Stuffed Olives, chopped
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper (adjust to taste)
- 2 tablespoons García de la Cruz Extra Virgin Olive Oil
DIRECTIONS
- Make a cut in each chicken breast to form a pocket.
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, garlic powder, chopped stuffed olives, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the chicken breasts with this mixture.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Carefully place the stuffed chicken breasts in the skillet and sear until browned on one side, about 5-7 minutes.
- Flip the chicken breasts carefully to avoid spilling the stuffing and continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes on the other side.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet with a lid, and continue cooking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Check periodically to ensure that the chicken does not burn and the stuffing heats through.
- Serve hot.
